Using relaxation methods, such as the ones listed below, can benefit your health and help you deal with stress in productive ways. 2 BREATHE Inhale deeply through your nose, then exhale slowly through your mouth. Your body will begin to unwind as you do this. 3 VISUALIZE Consider a location that makes you feel secure, cozy, and at ease. Imagine it as vividly as you can, including what it would feel, sound, and even even smell like if you were there. Allow yourself to savor the experience for a while. 4 EXERCISE Natural chemicals are released while you exercise that improve your mood and lower stress. Sometimes all it takes to decompress is a quick stroll. It’s also free to walk! 5 LOCATE YOUR STRESS Consider for a moment how stress affects your body. Where in your body do you feel tension?
