  2. The RCM: • Strongly supports the “lets break the cycle of FGM in the UK “.We have  worked closely with other agencies producing  FGM intercollegiate recommendations  that were launched in Parliament recently. Read the report via Link to Tackling FGM in the UK

The RCM: • Are working together with UNICEF BFI and the NHS to help midwives  improve initiation of breastfeeding and continuation rates in the UK-the RCM award winners The Dudley Group NHSFT the” Mom2Mom” initiative aids consistent breastfeeding advice for women See link at Innovation and Inspiration Press release

  4. The RCM: • Are working with women and the NHS to increase the numbers of normal births and reduce caesarean section rates. This is an on-going health protection message-RCM award maternity services of the year award winners, East Lancashire Hospitals NHST Link to RCM Award Winners

  5. The RCM: •  Are supporting midwives to care for women in pregnancy with complex medical problems such as  obesity issues and  supporting high quality safe maternity care to improve healthier outcomes for this group of women. Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHST RCM award winners in 2013

The RCM: • Are supporting Improvements in services to  care  for pregnant and post natal  women with Mental Health problems particularly perinatal mental health problems - RCM award winners –Imperial College Healthcare NHST initiative and reach out to vulnerable women Link to RCM Award Winners)

  7. The RCM: • Are supporting the improvements in  pelvic health care for women by raising awareness of continence issues with midwives.
