  26. The developers of a “smart” cricket ball believe it could potentially train a new generation of spin bowlers and revive skills not seen since Shane Warne. Seven recommendations for Australia’s competitiveness Initiate specific Smart City or Smart Home programs that leverage across sectors and applications, e.g. electricity, water, gas, telecommunications, … 4 5 Think big, but start small. Create network test beds, deployment blueprints, Smart City showcases, … 6 Implement it first time right. Create an IoT infrastructure that is scalable, manageable and secure by design. 7 Citizen engagement is key.
