  4. Election of Officers Chairperson – Appointed by the Governor Secretary - Has charge of the records of the Authority* • Elected by members of the PEDA Board once per year Treasurer – Custodian of all funds and monies of the Authority* *Elected by members of the PEDA Board annually

  5. 2014 PEDA Grant Round October 2014, awarded $12.4 million in grants • 28 awards to local governments, schools and businesses (Includes Northumberland County CEI project) • Funded by Energy Development Fund, Growing Greener, Duquesne Light • Alternative Energy and Clean Energy projects • Solar Energy, Hydropower, Biomass, Combined Heat and Power, Energy Storage, Energy Efficiency, etc.

  6. 2014 PEDA Awards 19 Projects in Advanced Energy – $9,680,340.80 • 6 Solar Projects - $3,135,559 • 5 Energy Efficiency Projects – $2,045,868.80 • 3 Energy Efficiency/CHP Projects – $2,000,000 • 5 Other - $2,499,913 • Biomass, Biogas, Battery Storage, Hydropower, Combined Solar Thermal/EE

  7. 2014 PEDA Awards (cont.) 5 Clean Alternative Energy Projects – $2,427,366 • 1 Research - $500,000 - Battery systems • 4 Manufacturing - $1,927,366- Windows, Fuel Cells, Solar/Battery Storage, Solar Racking 3 Advanced Energy, Duquesne Light – $259,694.91 • 1 Solar Project – $28,800 • 1 Energy Efficiency Project – $174,665 • 1 Solar/Wind – $75,000 • Total Award = $278,465

  8. Status of 2014 Awards • 18 projects have fully negotiated grant agreements and have begun work • 1 (of the 18)projects has been completed – Dairy Farmers of America • 8 projects are in final agreement phase and permit acquisition prior to a grant agreement being executed. Examples: • Shamokin Area School District • Juniata Solar Partners • Hydro Green Energy LLC • Alcoa Inc.

Returned 2014 Awards Two projects have returned a total of $1M in awards: • Advanced Technologies and Land Services • Advanced Energy – Solar Deployment Title: Solar Power on a Sustainable Tree Farm Location: Armstrong County, Plumcreek Twp. • Grant: $500,000 • Solar Secured Solutions, LLC • Clean Alternative Energy – Manufacturing Title: Solar-diesel Hybrid Light Tower Location: York County, York Twp. • Grant: $500,000

  10. Financial Report Growing Greener • All funds to be committed and utilized Duquesne Light Settlement Funds • All Funds to be committed and utilized Energy Development Funds (PEDA) • Loan Repayment Revenue until 2-1-2016 • Uncommitted funds to be accrued in this account.
