  2. Picture this.

  3. How do I price my web design services?

  4. You look for answers:

  5. Business Intelligence? • Co-workers • Friends • Family • Forums • Showbiz websites

  6. There must be something better.

  7. Price it right!

  8. What’s your Freelancing strategy? • Get the most number of clients? • Output the best quality? • Maximize profits? • Maintain the status quo? • Be the Best Web Designer in the World?

  9. Methods • Cost + pricing • Target return + pricing • Value based pricing • Psychological pricing

  10. How do I get the price for each method?

  11. Get Base Cost • Example: Current Salary: PhP20,000/20-day month (at 8 hours a day) • Salary per day: 20,000/20 = PhP1,000/day • Assumption: 1 web design study/2 days • Client requirement: 3 design studies • Estimated duration: 3 x 2 = 6 days • Base cost: PhP6,000

  12. Cost + Pricing • “I want a profit of PhP5,000!” • Base cost + Profit: PhP 6,000 + 5,000 = PhP 11,000

  13. Target return + Pricing • “I want a 100% return!” • return= profit/base cost • 100% return: PhP 6,000.00 • Base cost + return = PhP 6,000 + PhP 6,000 = PhP 12,000

  14. Value based • “Depends on client’s value of the product and competition”

  15. Psychological • “What’s fair?” • Your brand/reputation

  16. You earn the money you deserve!
