Call This Number… !” So I called the number. A young woman answered and made an appointment for me to visit the company’s offices and meet the head-guy. It sounded like a great job, I told the woman on the other end of the call before she hung up. It did too But it wasn’t a job. It was something I had never come across before. It was what’s known as a network marketing business. I didn’t know that right then and there. In fact, it took me a few more weeks following the visit to the company’s offices to fully understand what network marketing was and wasn’t and another twenty years or so to start building my own network marketing business. That’s right! I said twenty years before I got started building a network marketing business.

Network Marketing Training: “What is network marketing?” I asked that question at the tender age of nineteen having answered an advertisement in the local newspaper one summer back in the early 1980s. It’s painful, right…? Your week is already pretty busy but now it feels like you’re struggling to breathe with all this new knowledge, new tools and training and new schedule of activity you’ve put in place and your plan to finally start building your MLM business the right way; by the power of “attraction marketing” A month or two (maybe six) goes by and although you’re pretty sure you’re doing everything they told you to do (and you’re damn sure you are being “attractive” in your approach and NOT “pushing” anything on anyone).. but you’re just not getting the results all those eBooks promised. And when you look at your “downline” it seems pretty shallow down there. You brought a couple of people into your team, but one has decided to stick with their day job for the time being and the other has invested a few hundred dollars into creating their own 5 day Attraction Marketing Bootcamp and is too busy promoting that to have time to sponsor new reps into his team (for now at least).. Whichever way you look at it; it looks the same… Your dreams of building a downline and living the high-life with a growing residual income and an ever increasing team of distributors beneath you has been replaced by eBooks, Facebook webinars and trying to get your YouTube videos to upload faster to save a little time. Building an MLM business is NOT about learning how to master the internet. Building an MLM business is NOT about developing a detailed knowledge of LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter or even Facebook Building an MLM business is NOT about generating 50-100 FREE Leads per day either. This is what building an MLM business is about…

  3. 1.Mastering the skills to communicate with prospects 2.Mastering the skill to invite prospects to watch your opportunity presentation 3.Mastering the skill to expertly present your business opportunity 4.Mastering the skill to teach your team of distributors to do the same Network marketing is a people business. It’s all about connecting with people on a one to one. If you are building your business in your spare time your focus should be on the activity that will bring you closer to your financial goals and those activities are listed above. Anything that distracts you from these four critical activities will stop you from achieving the success you deserve. MLM Lead Generation - The Bottom Line The more time, money and focus you lose trying to become the next internet network marketing legend, the longer you will remain where you are; struggling to pay your credit card debts, working for a Boss you hate, missing your children grow up and craving for that family vacation you haven’t had. If you haven’t found a system, mentor or team who know how to do this perhaps it’s time to take a good look at your lack of success and be honest with yourself. Stop chasing false promises and start working your MLM business the right way. MLM Training Today, with so many ways to build an MLM business, one of the biggest challenges we face as network marketers is that of staying focused on the task in hand or tasks for that matter. If you are going to reach your goals then you need to understand what those tasks are and how to carry them out effectively and efficiently to be successful and grow a large organization. Sit back, because this is where your MLM trainingreally begins… let’s take a look at the four key tasks you need to tackle in order to build a block busting MLM business in 2012..! MLM Training – Task 1 Prospecting This task is of course one of the main business building activities and one which you should be carrying out daily. But what are the main areas to focus on if you are short on time and have a limited advertising budget? Set Goals – Make a decision on how fast (or slowly) you plan to build your team and understand what is required in terms of prospecting to reach your goals. For example, if you know that for every 100 phone calls you make you are likely to enroll 2 new distributors into your team and your plan is to sponsor 10 new team

  4. members a month using this method, you need to be speaking with 1,000 prospects every month in order to reach your target. Don’t panic! If this seems impossible due to lack of time then you might need to break it down into smaller pieces and plan daily and weekly tasks to get through this number without feeling the weight of all those calls on your shoulders. MLM Training – Task 2 Inviting People to View Your Presentation This task is crucial to your success and a good invite that gets people to view your company presentation is worth a million dollars (literally!). If you are planning to master this area (and you should be) and need to fast track this task, get to know who in your company is good at this and ask them if they would let you listen in on how they do this. Most successful network marketers will be more than happy to do this for you. Once you have an idea of how many calls it will take to invite a prospect to view your presentation, the next task is to master the presentation to maximize your results. Let’s take a look.. MLM Training – Task 3 Presenting Your Opportunity If you are not presenting your business opportunity you are not building your business; it’s that simple! But, there is sometimes a big gap between a good and bad presentation and one of the four key tasks to tackle should not just be to present your business plan but to present it well. If you’re weak in this area, plan to get better but don’t kill your business in the process. Remember, your sponsor is there to help you enrol people into your team so make a mental note to keep in contact with your upline and keep them close at hand if you know you have a few people ready to look at the business. MLM Training – Task 4 Training Your Team For Duplication Network marketing is a great business model but often it is misunderstood. I don’t mean by the masses either, I mean by those who come into the industry and believe or are told it is all about sales. It is NOT! Successful network marketing is about duplication and leverage and that can only come when a lot of people understand how to carry out a few simple, daily tasks over time.

This comes with training and one of your daily, weekly and monthly tasks should be to spend some time training yourself and training your downline of distributors to develop their skills, increase their knowledge and master their mindset.
