Switch2Product 2018 – Prices & Services Prices & Services • The first 60 selected ideas had access to the IdeaDevelopment & Pitch Workshop to learn how to structure and present an effective pitch. • The 24 finalists had access to the Innovation Boost Program, an entrepreneurial training and empowerment program aimed at enhancing the technological and business potential of the projects. • The 14 winners had access to the Business Acceleration Program offered by PoliHub, TTO and Deloitte with the aim of supporting the winners in the development of their projects also with the help of dedicated mentors and experts. • 5winners received a prize pool of € 150K (maximum grant of € 30k) for the development of intellectual property, aimed at technology validation & product development. 14 Winners Acceleration Program Potential grant Other benefits 24 Finalists Innovation Boost Program 60 Selected Projects Workshop Idea Development & Pitch

Switch2Product 2018 - Methodology FRONTAL LEARNING • Frontal training in the classroom, aimed at learning the basic concepts on the development of new technological enterprise and intellectual property ACTIVE LEARNING 12 hrs • Interactive classroom activities, carried out individually or in groups, aimed at putting into practice what learned during the training with the support of mentors. Switch2Product 2018 - AccellerationProgram The Acceleration Program is the tailor-made entrepreneurial training and empowerment program offered by PoliHub, TTO and Deloitte, in collaboration with MIP, the Milan Polytechnic Business School, designed for: 15 Winners Acceleration Program Potential grant Other benefits • Support teams in the early stages of implementation of the developed solutions / technologies. • Support participants in the concrete development of their business project and technological validation. • Facilitate the achievement of an TRL in line with investors' expectations and allow the teams to attract the first seed investments. GRANTS – Proof of Concept and TRL Development 5 projects received a contribution of 30,000 euro specifically dedicated to the Proof of Concept, technological development and validation. 30K€ 5 WINNERS • Support teams in the early stages of prototyping and in field testing of the technologies. • Support participants in the concrete development of their technological project to facilitate the achievement of a TRL in line with the expectations of companies and investors.

Winners 2018 –ICT LOOPUS HUGENOMICS FPGA technology (Field Programmable Gate Array) for genomic research: a low-power computing power that can be programmed by anyone, automatically and, moreover, customizable. HUGenomics is a versatile tool to support medicine and agriculture. LOOPUS is a revolutionary analogical accelerator for algebraic computing that allows to enable machine learning and big data analysis operations faster and with reduced energy impacts. ORIOS PHOTONPAT Innovative optical amplifiers in integrated photonic technology that improve the performance of internet and telecommunications networks, increasing their scalability and flexibility thanks to the reconfigurability of the amplifiers. Orios is an innovative tool to support the maintenance of machinery and plants, based on augmented reality algorithms and artificial intelligence to effectively and automatically assist the operator.

  16. Winners 2018 –Medtech TMEK BAC3GEL The most effective three-dimensional matrix for the culture of bacteria, able to simulate the structure of the mucus naturally produced by our body. Thanks to this technology it is possible to more accurately monitor the antibiotic response and modulate the dosage compared to traditional methods. Tmek, is the new lab-on-chip rapid test that diagnoses malaria, by detecting the hemzoin present in a drop of blood.
