  2. What did we do in terms of CFSR/CFSP integration? An interrelated whole is easier if you structure and organize your processes for both simultaneously. Iowa Department of Human Services

What did we do in terms of CFSR/CFSP integration? • Aligned our organizational structures. • Defined and communicated the CFSP and CFSR as parts of a whole at every opportunity. • Used meaningful collaborations and integrated process to engage child welfare partners. Iowa Department of Human Services

Aligned our organizational structures. • IV-B and CFSR coordinators are in the same bureau, managed by the same person. • Service Business Task Team structure is aligned with CFSR & IV-B. • CFSR outcomes and systemic factors are identified in our Child Welfare Strategic Plan. DHS Strategic Plan is integrated into IV-B. • Preliminary Statewide Assessment integrated into the IV-B plan. Iowa Department of Human Services

Defined and communicated the CFSP and CFSR as parts of a whole at every opportunity. • Communicate continuously that CFSP and CFSR are parts of a whole • Presentations to communicate CFSP & CFSR [Stakeholder Panel Power Point Presentation] • Consistent goals and objective in 4B plan from the CFSR-PIP Iowa Department of Human Services

Meaningful Collaboration • Stakeholder Panel chaired by Court Improvement Director and Child Welfare Director • Charter defines CFSP and CFSR roles and responsibilities • Panel informed of CFSP and CFSR basics • Small Groups focus on child welfare outcomes • Stakeholder are informed each meeting of how their impute is being used to improve the child welfare system Iowa Department of Human Services

Planning for Next CFSR • Planning Integrated • Current Assessment of Outcomes and Systemic Factors builds on last CFSR • Continuous Quality Improvement expected for CFSR goals through the ongoing 4B plan and reports • Planning structure includes integrated 4B/CFSR planning structure with meaningful collaboration* Iowa Department of Human Services
