  2. ODF (Open Document Format) Il formato Open Document, è un “formatoaperto” per file di documento pensato per l'archiviazione, lo scambio di documenti e la produttività d’ufficio come: • Documenti di testo (memo, rapporti e libri) • Fogli di calcolo • Diagrammi • Presentazioni.

  3. OASIS ODF TC? • L’OpenDocument Format è un linguaggio basato sul metalinguaggio XML(eXtensible Markup Language) diretto alla descrizione dei documenti elettronici, l’XML è stato creato da Sun Microsystems. • Lo standard è stato sviluppato dal consorzio d’informatica OASISOrganization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards,affiliato al W3Consortium con la responsabilità di occuparsi dell’Open Document Format for Office Applications - TC.

  4. Stato dell’arte • L’ODF è sostenuto da Open Document Format Alliancelobby composta da IBM, Sun Microsystems e Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). • Office Open XML (OOXML) è la soluzione standard alternativa proposta da Microsoft (standard ISO da agosto 2008)

Standard e specifiche • 25 gennaio 2007OpenDocument è diventato uno standard italiano, rilasciato da UNI/UNINFO con la sigla: • UNI CEI ISO/IEC 26300. • 1 maggio 2005 le estensioni dei file ed i relativi tipi MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) sono inclusi nello standard ufficiale rilasciato da OASIS.

Modelli / Template • Un template racchiude le informazioni di stile e formattazione del documento, ma non il contenuto del documento stesso. • OpenDocument supporta i template, per le estensioni dei template vale la stessa regola descritta per quelle dei documenti • le prime due lettere sono comuni a tutti i template (ot, OpenDocument template)

  9. ODF : Specifiche del formato • Il formato OpenDocument supporta i metadati per tramite di un set di elementi metadati predefiniti, ciò non impedisce ovviamente la possibilità per l'utente di creare elementi metadati “personalizzati”.

  11. ODF: funzionalità generiche • Funzionalità SEMPLICI: • intestazioni di vario livello • liste di tipi diversi (numerate o meno) • paragrafi numerati • mantenere una traccia dei cambiamenti effettuati.

Funzionalità generiche • Funzionalità AVANZATE: • controllo della disposizione del testo • sequenza di pagine • attributi di sezione…collegamenti ipertestuali. • Ruby text (che fornisce annotazioni ed è fondamentale per alcuni linguaggi) • supporto di segnalibri e riferimenti assieme a soluzioni tecniche per la generazione automatica di tabelle • tavole dei contenuti, indici, bibliografie ecc...
