  2. What is Partners IN Salford Partners IN Salford is the Local Strategic Partnership for Salford Partners IN Salford is a family of organisations, groups and partnerships who are committed to working together to transform Salford into a great city

What is our purpose? • Bring organisations together, give them a common voice, and agree aims, objectives and priorities • Improve public services to make them more responsive to local communities • Agree ways to narrow the gap between levels of deprivation in Salford and the rest of the country, and also to narrowing the deprivation gap within Salford itself • Develop more simple partnership working for programmes and initiatives

  5. 1994 Salford Partnership established 46 core partners from across public, private and third sectors 2000 First Community Plan produced – based around the seven themes 2001 Salford identified as one of the 82 most deprived areas receiving Neighbourhood Renewal Fund to have an LSP 2002 Partners IN Salford launched with 18 core partners – public, private, community and faith sectors represented 2005 Second Community Plan produced 2009 15 year Sustainable Community Strategy produced 2011 Current structure developed – Partnership Priorities 2011-2014 Brief history

Sustainable Community Strategy In 2024, Salford will be a beautiful and welcoming city, driven by energetic and engaged communities of highly skilled, healthy and motivated citizens, who have built a diverse and prosperous culture and economy which encourages and recognises the contribution of everyone, for everyone.
