  2. population matters xxx Activities Undertaken Last Year...2013/14 The Letter Writing Group had letters published in The Times, Independent, the Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, the New Scientist plus numerous “locals”. Replies received from the Pope, Prince Charles and Prince William The Prime Minister, Archbishop of Canterbury and Blue Peter expressing thanks for making them aware of Population Matters Talks to schools, colleges ,Round Table , Probus etc., Car boot sales Stalls in the “High Street”, World Population Day, Green Fairs etc. People’s Climate March..........what a fantastic day!!!!

  3. population matters WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS............ 1. Bank Accounts for ALL Groups. I would encourage ALL groups to open a bank account. Money pays for equipment , leaflets and venue fees !!!! Head Office is prepared to contribute to an initial float and specific activities. Money makes the World go round!!!!

  4. population matters 2. Invest in Equipment Banners , Sail flags, Gazebos, Display boards What next....... Advertising balloon?

  5. population matters Let’s be inventive....... ......think outside the box

  6. population matters NUMBER ONE Foot soldiers – THAT’S US!!! • We spread the word • Raise awareness • Attract funding • Recruit new members

  7. population matters NUMBER TWO Posters and leaflets • Doctor’s surgeries • Maternity wards • Family Planning clinics • Pharmacies • Council Offices.....Housing depts. • Youth groups • University common rooms..... • ”Freshers week” and festivals....link up with Durex give a couple of condoms to every student in a Population Matters paper bag

Think Ahead......Plan Early for Next Year Identify future events early and make your reservation asap. eg , UN World Population Day Saturday 11th July 2015 World Contraception Day County Shows 28- 30 July 2015 Music Festivals Discuss them at your Group meetings and enlist sufficient helpers. Need help from other groups? Need financial help?
