Information • Competition is open to people with physical or mental disabilities. • Equestrianism is known as horseback riding refers to the skill of riding, driving, steeplechasing or vaulting with horses. • There are 6 medal events and there is a team and an individual competition in each of the three Equestrian disciplines. • 200 men and women compete together in all three disciplines.

  4. Fact’s • The Equestrian competition at London 2012 is made up of three disciplines that include Dressage, Eventing, & Jumping. • Each discipline requires different skills from the riders and horses competing. • Women first participated in Olympic Eventing at the Helsinki 1952 Games.
