  3. 8/29 - Objectives and to dos • Objective: Introductions and Introduction to Science • Objective: Work in small groups To Do: Quickly – Create a Name Tag (5 minutes) 1) Full Name and Period (large) 2) Also include an interest/hobby/favorite subject

  4. Continued 8/29 (Thursday) • With Partner Discuss 5 Big Issues facing the world/U.S. that are science based • Get into assigned groups and record the issue (5 minutes) • Research the issue (Why?) (Causes?) (5 minutes) • Reporters – 5-10 minutes report

  6. September 3, 2019 (Tuesday) • Bell Ringer 3 1) Summarize (complete sentences) the issue your group researched and what are one or two possible causes OR impacts?

  7. Goals and Objectives • OBJECTIVE: Understand the causes, impacts and possible solutions for the science issue being researched To Do: Finish Poster – include causes if you have not already. Be ready to answer questions and present about the topic (each group member can be asked questions) Begin Research on Theory, Scientific Law, Hypothesis, Belief, and Scientific Fact – Define each and include 3 examples of each.

Notebook – (checked by Mrs. T or Mr. T) • Review sheet and practice (on the board) – list
