  1. ILT software status Peter Roelfsema HIFI ICC manager/system engineer

  2. AIV - ICC environment QLA IA tools CUS scripts Database ILT software status - PRR

  3. System setup; ILT environment • Environment where test gets executed • Data is stored in database • Data is continuously propagated to off-line database for full analysis • Note; IA in test environment is only intended for quick analysis needed to verify proper test execution, not to generate analysis products • System configuration • Currently HCSS V 0.4 – as per TRR decision • System tested by ESA, acceptance tested by HIFI • Released 30th of December; HCSS build 1076, HIFI build 609 • Upgrade to subsequent user release requires strategic AIV decision • Only patches will be applied  QLA is fixed until next user release • Possible upgrade dates following HCSS release schedule: HCSS V 0.4.1 – ~22th of January ILT software status - PRR

  4. System setup; offline • Use of ILT HCSS version mandatory for offline ILT data analysis • SRON local installation for general use • Users can also install system on their own machine • ICC verifies user installer • Errors/new requirements processed by HIFI CCB • New facilities in HCSS 0.4.0 • Significant number of HIFI specific tools • Faster data access • Data base propagation • Offline database is kept in synch with test system • Propagation yields backlog max. ~1 minute • Database accessible for the outside world • Currently looking in to 2nd stage propagation • Near future updates • Use of ‘BINSTRUCT’ for MIB access  no more need to distribute MIBs • Use of ‘calibration-pool’ • Development area where ILT test groups can easily publish tool updates ILT software status - PRR

  5. Status • Tools: many basic tools available in system (current count ~160) • QLA in place and well tested • FCU/WBS/HRS/system OK • LO under development • HK display/analysis • Dataframe and spectrum display and basic analysis (e.g. averaging) • Pipeline components for basic HRS/WBS calibration • Heterodyne system analysis (Yfactor, Tsys, Allan variance) • Data structures • TM, dataframe, spectrum all in place, well tested • Calibration products in process of being defined • Support • ICC personnel planned to be available for SPR/SCR fixing ILT software status - PRR

  6. Example; first 18 tasks in list ILT software status - PRR

  7. Worries • System ‘maintenance’ (HCSS re-install for EGSE, database…) • No proper HCSS/EGSE install procedure  depends on single person • IA development – Herschel GS common • IA help/documentation still needs improvement • HIFI already committed significant manpower • Requires (more) system work on ESA side • Distribution of IA user build • Requires system work on ESA side • No full agreement as to approach between GS users • Generally need to watch that common GS IA development does not hurt HIFI • Close attention at common groups; CCB, IA system architecture, IA user group etc. • IA development – HIFI specific • Not all testers fully up to speed w.r.t. developing IA tasks • Limited tool development by ICC due to other ICC obligations ILT software status - PRR
