  2. Acknowledgement of Country

  3. Open our minds to what we will hear ALL: God be with us Open our ears to listen respectfully and to learn from others. ALL: God be with us Open our hearts to hold your Spirit and share it joyfully. ALL: God be with us

  4. Let us listen with the ear of our heart …...

  5.  Then the Lord said to Moses, “I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians. … So come, I will send you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. (Exodus 3: 7-8, 10-12)

  6. Something is asked of me … Just as God asked something of Moses, so too does God ask things of us … Sometimes our particular mission may seem next to impossible and we wonder how we will ever carry it out. God speaks to us: “I will be with you.”

  7. Something is asked of you …God is with you …

  8. Companion God, You spoke to Abraham and Sarah, Moses and Mary. You have called us through the prophets of old and the prophets of our time. You became one with us in Jesus of Nazareth and your Spirit has journeyed across the millennia with all who have sought to follow Jesus. Walk with us always, we pray, in this time of renewal and transformation. ALL:Amen

  9. As we change and grow and transform ourselves, may we begin to change and grow and transform the people, relationships and structures around us in the spirit of the Gospel. ALL: Amen

  10. May the grace of God shine in our hearts as we place our hope and trust in God’s generous mercy. ALL: Amen And may we be blessed by the presence of our God, whom we name as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. ALL: Amen

  11. Let us go quietly now into the day, and the days ahead, bound in community, supported in prayer and encouraged to make a difference. ALL: We will, with the help of God.
