  2. Cooperation and volunteering office (OCV) Service for managing, coordinating and promoving volunteering themes and development cooperation in the university community. Located at A Coruña (Elviña) and Ferrol (Esteiro). Born in 1996.

  3. Development education (EpD) Instrument of development cooperation (1974) 4 dimensions: Sensitization Development training Development research Social mobilization (Enhancing cooperation agents) Promotes knowledge and understanding of the realities of poverty and its causes from a critical perspective Enpower and trains to the citizens for the social participation and change.

  4. Areas of EpD Formal education (from primary school to University) No formal education Informal education

  5. The role of University… Privileged space for research, reflection and training in and for EpD. PCR objectives Stays in development countries for 1/3 months of university students. Practical application of the work carried out as PFC, a obligatory subject or practicum. Sensitize students and general society.

  6. PROFILE UDC students Cooperation training Teamwork skills and in Capacidade traballo en equipo and in different cultural ambients. Previous Volunteering experience, labor camps, social and associative movements. Specific training if it is required (languages for example)
