Cameron (2001) p.76. • If a course aims to ‘teach’ a word (i) what information, (ii) what practice must it provide? • The principle of recycling language. • Principle of lexical grouping. • Syntagmatic-paradignmatic shift. • Vocabulary load: 500 words per annum??
