  12. -progress in democracy -better opportunities in education and business -integration into international system Today's situation Succes: Challenges/Problems: -disagreements between provincial legislatures and central government -weakness because of apartheid and isolation -disparities between population groups will remain for some time -violence and discrimination against women and those living with HIV -deaths in police custody occur
