1. MOT FAQs Is an MOT and a Service the same? An MOT is a required test to guarantee that your vehicle is roadworthy, whereas a service follows precise criteria established by the vehicle manufacturer and is meant to keep your vehicle in optimal condition. While an MOT and a service both check comparable items, such as tire tread depth, seat belt anchorings, and so on, a service replaces some parts, which improves not only your car's performance but also its economy and longevity. What are the different MOT training courses that we offer? There are lots of courses to choose from. They include ATA light vehicle inspection technician (VIT), hybrid vehicle training, MOT CPD packages training and assessment, test center management course, and many more. How long does it take to retest an MOT? Most MOT retest timings vary because they are determined by the faults indicated on the VT30 MOT failure form. To receive a free partial retest, you must have your vehicle repaired and retested at our facility within ten business days, or one day if it is repaired by another workshop. What is the eligibility to become An MOT tester? To enroll in an MOT testing course, you must first: ● You must have a valid driving license for the vehicle categories you wish to test ● You should be a skilled mechanic with at least four years of full-time experience maintaining and repairing the vehicles you'll be testing. ● You should have no outstanding criminal convictions. ● To be a class three or five MOT tester, you must also have obtained a tier 2 testing certificate in vehicles of classes 4 and 7, which are in group B. Following receiving your level 2 certificate, you should pass an MOT demonstration test. ● If you wish to test class 3, 4, 5, or 7 automobiles, you must have a recognized certification or accreditation. These automobiles include cars, private buses, and light commercial vehicles. How does an MOT test work?

The engine, clutch, and gearbox are not covered by the test. How long will an MOT take? Usually, an MOT test takes between 45 and 60 minutes on average, but there are a few more factors to consider.
