  1. What's Difference Between A Service And MOT

  2. Most of the population nowadays use vehicles as the fastest mode of transport, which decreases the dependency on public transport and improves the timing of reaching the spot. But with this comfort facility comes the responsibility of safety. To ensure that your vehicle is worthy enough to get on the road, each vehicle owner has to pass the vehicle through the examination by an MOT expert. An MOT expert is no ordinary service provider but is an expert passed through an MOT academy who examines the vehicle's condition and issues the certificate of a pass or failure to state the vehicle's safety over the roads. Each vehicle owner must perform it once the car completes 3 years of purchase. But then there is also a service for which the vehicle has to be taken to the garage. What is the difference between MOT and Service? ● MOT is one of the mandatory requirements that one has to go through once the 3 years life of a vehicle is completed. Whereas car service is not legally compulsory, it is performed by everyone to keep the car at the optimum position for better performance. During MOT Northhampton, the examiner is not supposed to change anything but does the visual examination of the car and issue the certificate of passing or failure as per the car's condition during the service; the mechanic inspects the vehicle and suggests repairs, and then does it. This states that MOT ensures the car's worthiness on the road, but service maintains the vehicle at optimum performance. MOT expert examines some significant parts of the car, such as the body of the vehicle, fuel system, steering, Suspension, tires, brakes, wheels, windscreen, horn, wiring, and battery. Whereas during service, one goes through each part of the body to check the efficient performance. The experts are trained by MOT academy to examine the condition of the parts visually correctly as per the criteria predecided by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standard Agency), but service mechanic works with a completely different intention of keeping at optimum performance levels and safe for family travels. There are certified garages or stations at many places like MOT Northhampton to go through the tests. Still, in the case of service stations, the availability is ample, and it doesn't have to be verified by the government until the mechanic has proper certification and training. DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standard Agency) gives criteria for vehicle roadworthiness verification, and they are responsible for upgrading it as time passes. In contrast, a car service mechanic decides the standard depending on the level of efficiency one vehicle must run at. ● ● ● ● ●

  3. Wrapping Paragraph: There is a lot of difference between a service and MOT that everyone might not understand, but it is crucial to know. One must never forget that MOT assures a vehicle's worthiness to be on the road, but service makes it perform better and more efficiently.
