  2. What are student summer vacation bursaries? • 8-10 week research projects • Over 20 different funding bodies • Designed to provide students with a unique research experience. • Preference given to students without prior research experience

  3. Suitable Student What does the awarding body expect? Suitable Project Suitable Supervision Suitable Ethics etc Suitable Environment

  4. Eligibility of students – BBSRC Selected students must be: • In the middle years of their first degree studies • Registered for a basic science or veterinary degree at a UK university • Expected to obtain a first or upper second class UK honours degree • Preference should be given to students who have not had previous research experience. http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/funding/studentships/vacation_bursaries.html
