  6. Vinyl vault... Recently resorted... A-Z classic rock, 80's rock, 70's-early 90's punk A-Z jazz Some selection of classical, reggae, hip-hop (ask if interested)‏ For now just focus on having a good show.

  10. 2 1 Studio A Equipment... Everything is controlled from the central board 3 mics, 2 CD decks, 2 turntables

  11. CD Decks (1 left, 2 right)... On/Off, open/close, Track Select, Play/Pause, Cue (stop), no search Set up to play single tracks, displays time remaining Turntables are much easier to use, we'll show you on-site if interested

  12. The Board... Yellow = channel on, red = channel off, volume for every channel Mics on left, then CD1 TT1 CD2 TT2 Cue feature

  13. The Board... Levels (top left) are output, need to be close to zero and not go over Use channel zero's as a reference point Headphone and monitor volume is in lower right

  14. The Board... On-Air/Automation buttons, monitor select. More features: Cue, X7657, etc.

  15. Computer... Firefox opens two tabs 1st tab is for DJ login – log songs, changes website, starts recording 2nd tab is DJ homepage – online listeners, weather, news feeds AIM requests – SN: WTSC911, buddy list should be open ALL shows must be logged.

  16. Profanity on air... List of FCC acceptable and unacceptable words behind computer 7.5 second delay with dump button If a song is played with a profanity: Press red dump button twice Immediately stop song Apologize Continue the show with another song Log profanity in log book If a profanity is caught on air and is not logged we can get fined by the FCC and therefor shutdown because we can't afford it.

  17. Rules No laptops or mp3s Unless your show is a very specific genre, 2 rotation songs must be played an hour. Log everything You must talk at some point, during which you need to say something along the lines of “you are listening to WTSC” or “The Source” Once and hour say the full station ID WTSC 91.1FM Potsdam, NY The Source

  18. Anti-Rules You can play any genre you want. You could even do a talk show. You have access to all the same music and equipment that our regular Djs use.

  19. Your First Show A WTSC eboard member or advanced DJ will be there to get you started and supervise you. They will not do your show for you. It is almost guaranteed that during your first show you will press play at some point and there will be no music. My top advice: Get down to the station early and pick out a handful of CDs of artists/bands that you know. (Quick music if you are in a bind)‏

  20. You are being watched... Don't steal music or equipment. We know who you are and you will get caught.

  21. Any Questions?
