Learning around Ollies. Children are competent learners and develop and learn in a wide variety of ways. We look, listen and carefully observe all our children, consider their needs, their interests, and their stages of development and use all this information to help plan a challenging and enjoyable experiences both indoors and outdoors. Breakfast and Afterschool club children use a rota system for the computer and the juniors are allowed to use computers within the resource area to play games or complete homework. In Breakfast club, The children choose the activities they wish, or help staff prepare for the nursery sessions by sorting name cards, getting the toys out for the outdoor play and preparing craft ideas. As most of our children attend Oliverson’s Primary School, a member of staff escorts all the children up to their relevant classrooms at 8.45am. In After school club, at the beginning of the session, the children are given the option of what resources they would like to be available that evening and what activity they would like to take part in. .
