  3. Business Meetings • The business meetings in tourism have a strategic role. • Trade fairs, workshops and road-shows are key moments of business development.

  4. What’s a Tourist Workshop? A business meeting between Tourist Demand Representatives (TO, TA, Group organizers, etc) and Tourist Service Suppliers (Hotels, DMC, Carriers, etc)

  5. Why Tourist Workshops? • It’s the most effective way for meeting business counterparts: • In about 12 hours of workshop it’s possible to meet from 15 to 25 business partners; • The buyers attending for free; • The contact cost for the sellers lays between 50 – 100 euro.

Workshops perspectives • Because: • Economic crisis which reduces the promotional budgets, • The increasing costs for attending trade fairs, • A relevant modification is in progress: • Trade fairs are loosing, • workshops and road-shows are fast growing. • Workshops are fast growing even because are more and more effective.

  7. Workshops perspectives • At the beginning and until few years ago: buyers and sellers were placed in a same room and “Good Luck!” • Now: meeting agenda; • We (TTG Workshops): meeting agenda + workshop room management; • The future: continuous workshops on online market place.

From the “Good Luck” to the Meeting Agenda (the new workshop standard) • First step • It needs to collect preferences from buyers and sellers, • buyers and sellers with nearest preferences are matched by a statistic algorithm. • Second step • Buyers and sellers check the matches and express their preferences, • Taking into account of info of first and second step the meeting agenda is drawn.

  9. Polish Market • The increasing quality and size of the polish tourist market pushes the professionals operating in travel industry to look for more professional business instruments.

TTG Poland: the Workshop Activity • TTG Poland implements tourist workshops and road-shows since 1993. • since 2005 TTG Poland has strongly invested in workshop sector and now: • Our workshops are based on meeting agenda. • We manage the workshop room. • We are planning to create a continuous workshop on an online market place.
