Dogs In The Bible • Guard duty – Job 30:1 • Were no leash laws, dog catchers, or humane societies to deal with stray dogs. • Ready to eat anything they could find – Psalm 59:14,15 • Times of war they would appear in the aftermath – Psalm 68:23; 1 Kings 14:11; Jeremiah 15:3 • People generally did not like dogs – 1 Samuel 17:43 • Stray dogs can turn at any time – Matthew 7:6 • Referring to a person as a dog was an insult

Why There Are No Dogs In Heaven • Revelation 22:14,15 • Laziness - guard dog who doesn’t bark is worthless- Isaiah 56:10,11; Ezekiel 3:17; Isaiah 58:1 • Children of God are to be diligent – Hebrews 6:11,12 • Dogs tend to be greedy – Isaiah 46:10,11 • Dogs wolf down their food rapidly – 1 Peter 5:2 • Dogs have disgusting habits – Proverbs 26:11; 2 Peter 2:22

Why There Are No Dogs In Heaven • Dogs have unbridled lusts – Deuteronomy 23:17,18; Proverbs 15:8; 7:14,15 • Ill-gotten gains don’t bring honor to God when given to Him • Dogs can turn on you – Matthew 7:6 • People can bite and devour each other – Galatians 5:15 • Result of focus on personal pleasures – James 4:1-4 • Can refer to false teachers – Matthew 7:15; 2Timothy 4:14,15

Why There Are No Dogs In Heaven • Warning to Beware – Philippians 3:2 • Dogs will run in packs acting worse in a group than when alone • David’s prophesy of Christ’s death refers to the mob as a pack of dogs – Psalm 22:16,20 • Each wrong emboldens others to do greater wrongs- Proverbs 1:10-16 • There are no dogs in heaven – Revelation 22:14,15 • God’s people are sheep – Psalm 100:3-5 • Where will you be in ETERNITY?
