  3. The 27th of February is World Sustainable Energy Day, when people all across the world talk about renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies. It is the current generation’s obligation to leave a better world for future generations, and sustainable technology plays an important role in this. The building sector, which has long relied on old, resource-intensive processes, is now embracing greener alternatives that reduce pollution and make better use of resources. We’ll go through how contemporary building management saves energy while also outlining the commercial case for transitioning to more sustainable choices. 3 INDIA'S CSR NEWS PORTAL

  4. Green technology, also known as sustainable technology, refers to any technology, product, or practise that maximises the use of natural resources while promoting economic and social growth. These technologies are designed to lessen the environmental effect of resource utilisation by utilising less material and/or energy to get the same result. One of the most important characteristics of sustainable technology is that it does not need the complete elimination of a resource or approach. Rather, it allows for incremental and long-term change through transitioning to a better set of options. 04 MY CSR INDIA

  5. Humans have been devouring resources without regard for the repercussions thus far. In particular, over the last two decades, economic expansion has come at the expense of the environment. Consumption and waste have increased hand-in-hand as disposable incomes have expanded, and fossil fuels have been exploited with little regard for pollution or resource depletion. Studies reveal that we are on the verge of reaching a tipping point beyond which pollution and resource depletion will cause irreparable damage to the world. As a result, sustainability has progressed from a mere phrase to a new way of life. Sustainable approaches, materials, and production processes are being incorporated into the work of designers and manufacturers across industries. Consumers, too, are becoming more attentive of their choices. 5 MY CSR INDIA

  6. In the building industry, green technology is becoming increasingly popular. Both residential and commercial buyers want to invest in ‘green buildings,’ which are composed of biodegradable materials and can naturally adjust internal temperature. Many firms are hesitant to engage in green technology because they believe it will be too costly. However, the truth is that sustainable business practices result in significant long-term energy cost savings. While the initial installation expenses may be small, the energy, lighting, water, and power savings are enormous. 6 MY CSR INDIA

  7. Sustainable Practices in World 07 Legacy HVAC systems, for example, consume a lot of energy, are difficult to maintain, and do not allow for accurate temperature and lighting control. As a result, a number of building management businesses have developed smart Building management solutions (BMS) that employ AI and IoT to provide ideal working conditions while reducing energy consumption. Smart sensors put throughout the facility, for example, can adjust room temperature and lighting based on consumption levels, using only as much energy as is required. These systems also send out automatic reminders when repairs are required, allowing for more efficient maintenance. Smart systems like these are simple to use and provide unprecedented visibility into actual energy usage thanks to a central dashboard that monitors the entire facility. MY CSR INDIA

  8. ANOTHER WAY THAT BUILDINGS ARE INTEGRATING GREEN TECHNOLOGY IS THROUGH THE USE OF DATA TO MAKE DECISIONS REGARDING THE STRUCTURE OF THE BUILDING AND THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT. BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING (BIM), FOR EXAMPLE, USE DIGITAL MODELS TO CREATE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTS THAT MAKE THE MOST OF NATURAL LIGHT AND FRESH AIR. BUSINESSES MAY SAVE MONEY ON ENERGY RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT LOSING EMPLOYEE COMFORT IN THIS METHOD. MY CSR INDIA
