  4. HOW WE OPERATE We believe in a dynamic, evidence-based approach to structured literacy. This means we blend the science of reading with principles of special education to ensure that all students find success. While we use benchmark assessment to help guide and target the students needs – we also build lessons that are engaging and fun so that students enjoy the learning. The learner uses a computer to access the online tutoring session at the designated time. The pupil activates the webcam and dons a microphone-equipped headset. From there, the Online Tutor helps students navigate our extremely organized program.

  5. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Our online literacy instruction has been streamlined for ease of use. Here are some of the common questions we reieve. How does the student receive instruction? How long is a tutoring session? All sessions are about 55 minutes. This gives 40 minutes of core instructional time, 10 minutes of interactive games, and 5 minutes for rapport building and parent conferencing. All lessons are virtual using google meet and google slides. The student will join the live lesson and the teacher will guide them throgh the use of any additional tools.
