Pooja is performed daily and it must be done correctly else the ritual becomes futile. Here is a list of essential pooja samagri and their significance: 1.Ganga Jal: Ganga Jal is water from the river Ganga which is considered to be extremely pure. The Pooja room and its surroundings are sprinkled with Ganga Jal to purify the place before the pooja begins. It demolishes the existence of evil energy and removes dosh.

  2. 2.Agarbatti: Agarbatti adds fragrance in the pooja room and helps in creating the perfect atmosphere for one to worship the gods and goddesses. 3.Camphor: Camphor invites the deity to house and helps in stimulating spiritual thoughts. Lighting up the camphor helps to reduce evil energy in the house and welcomes new, positive energy. 4.Honey: Honey is offered to the god while starting the pooja. It helps in erasing negative thoughts and is considered pure. 5.Clay Diya: Lighting up clay diyas is a sacred practice. Agni or the fire invites the supreme God. The fire is said to symbolize God’s view. It attracts positive energy and helps in maintaining the peacefulness of the mind. 6.Dry Coconut: Offering a dry coconut before the pooja is considered to be a sacred practice. It symbolizes you offering your soul to the almighty and asking for his blessings. These are some essential pooja samagri that is used for all poojas.
