However, it is not the case for every child, but for some children bed wetting can be quite embarrassing. Thus before looking for measures as how to stop wetting the bed, you must be aware of the effects of bed wetting on your child. Bedwetting that cannot be considered to any sort of physical cause usually does not pose any long-term health risks. But it can have considerable impact on child’s self-esteem, school performance and relationships with friends. According to a study, only divorce and parental fights ranked higher in terms of stress levels in a child’s life. Moreover, the distress which a child feels from bed wetting is comparable to that of trying hard to secure good grades and also being teased by others.
