  4. 竹 柏 樹皮灰褐色，成樹後具縱裂，薄 片狀剝落。葉線狀倒披針形，互生且螺旋狀排列，革質，先端圓或鈍，邊緣反捲。雌雄異株。夏天開花，不明顯，為黃綠色小花。雄花穗狀圓柱形，單生葉腋；雌花沒有花瓣及花萼，，花托橢圓形，熟暗紅色，可食。    

  5. 竹 柏 種子約於十月間成熟，深黑色，圓球形，易發芽，基部有肉質種托。繁殖可用播種或扦插法。    

  6. 竹 柏 蘭嶼羅漢松，四季常青，風姿樸雅，幼株可做盆栽，成樹則為庭園美化之高級樹種，亦可加以整形成圓形、錐形或高級盆景。木材由於質地緻密堅韌，年輪顯明，富油脂，刨之則光滑無比，亦為貴重的優良木材之一。由於原產地受到過份的採集幾乎絕種，現已列入保育，為稀有植物。
