  1. Grammar PAGE 85 Some words have more than one meaning and a different spelling. Many people mix up the two words and their sentences won’t make sense. Do my sentences contain the correct meaning of all the words? Our class took a 5 minute bathroom brake. I don’t like the rainy weather today.

  2. MODIFIERS PAGE 72 Modifiers describe part of a sentence. The modifier must be in the correct form, placed in the correct place in the sentence, and clearly describe a word in the sentence in order for the sentence to make sense. Do the modifiers make sense with the rest of the sentence? The application process can be slowly. 2. The cheese was made in Italy that you bought.

  3. PLURAL NOUNSPAGE 84 For most nouns, adding “s” to the end of the word will make it plural. For words ending in “f”, like leaf, you change the “f” to a “ve” and then add an “s”. For example, leaf becomes leaves. For nouns ending in a consonant and a “y”, change the “y” to i” and add “es”. Some nouns are spelled irregularly. For example, child becomes children, foot becomes feet, and goose becomes geese. Are my nouns correct? There were 12 pairs of foot. The mice were scurrying throughout the house. My little sister lost four tooths.
