  4. About the Rankings • Study conducted by National Policy Research Council (NPRC) in collaboration with Computerworld Magazine • Reviewers visited 11, 227 official websites and awarded points on 25 features in 7 categories

  6. Were the rankings fair? • Separate scoring based on population • 250,000 was the dividing line • All judged on same criteria • Some questions are more applicable to larger governments • Taxes/Bills/Fines paid online • Bidding and procurement done online

GIS Updates • March 1 will launch new Community Development Website • Intended to help Community Development better assess how to best distribute redevelopment funding. • Will provide access to Census Data and Census Mapping & Zoning layers online. Can also link to your Zoning ordinance if you have it available online.

  24. ArcGIS Upgrade • County will be upgrading the GIS software we use from ArcGIS 9.1 to 9.2 • Will be completed by Feb 27 • New Parcel files will be available to LUGs by March 1 then again after BOR • If you use ArcGIS – let us know.

  29. Washtenaw CountyLandmark Photo Contest • Launch: March 1, 2007 • Information mailed and e-mailed to all Local Units by Tuesday, February 20 • Published Articles - eCentral, eWashtenaw, 1Washtenaw February 21 • News Release – February 22

  30. Purpose of this Contest To solicit photographs that represents Washtenaw County landmarks to be showcased in Washtenaw County buildings and publications, and to highlight and promote local talent.

A few specifics… • Photos for the the contest must be taken and electronically submitted from March of 2007 to March of 2008 • Anyone may submit , including Washtenaw County employees. • Top 50 entrants will be honored. Top 10 entrants will receive a $50.00 gift certificate and a framed copy of the submitted print will go to Washtenaw County, the entrant and the landmark jurisdiction.
