  2. ABOUT THE PROJECT This is an "EU Youth Exchange Action 1.1" project. The Project will take place in Kars, which is a glarious city in the east of Turkey. The Exchange lasts for 10 days , 01-11. 07.2009. We are going to make this Project with 4 countries , inviting 7 participants (including leaders) from each team.(6 + 1) from each country.The partner countries are going to be Denmark, Germany and Romania.The Project is going to be about the Turkey’s cultural monuments. It is called ‘’ANİ RUINS’’ and it has world’s cultural beauty hidden in it.

Theseruinsconsist of mosquesandchurchesandoldmonumentswhichwillprovidetheyoungpeoplewithhavingopportunitiestointegratewithoneanother’sreligion, whichmeansthatthis Project is alsogoingto be a culturalandreligiousdialoguesamongyoungpeople. ANI is an ancientcityand it exsistover 5000 years. Ani containsmosques, churchesand a cathedral. As you can imagineits a multi-cultural place.  But in thesedays, Ani is not protectedenoughandtheruinsareaboutto be destroyed. Ouraim is todrawattention of thelocalpeopleandauthoritiesto Ani andsupportAni'ssurvival. Weareplanningtoachieveourgoalbymaking workshops. Shortly “ANI”

  6. In this Workshop the participants; will conduct PR and Publicty campaigns and will design pamphlets and brochures for Ani. We will make an AD film for our campaign to save Ani. With this film we will try to draw attention of the people to the area and we will try to have their support! Serdar ÇETİNKAYA, Kübra AKÇA and Umut GENCER will help you out for this workshop!   7. In This Workshop the participants will; support commercial workshop with the pictures they've shoot for the posters, brochures and pamphlet and will shoot pictures for Catalogue we will publish. Fatma ÖCAL will help you out during this workshop. PhotographyWorkshop

  8. In this workshop the Participants; will create Radio Spots for the radios and will prepare a radio program about Ani. Zuhal ACARCA will help you out during this workshop! RadioWorkshop

  9. In this Workshop the Participants; will analyse the workshops and will make research and reportages about Ani. At the end of this project this reportages and research will be added to the Bulettin we will publish. Yasemin KOÇAK, Ufuk GİRGİN and Emrah UZAR will help you out during this workshop.   10. actIVITY PROGRAMME

  11. Serdar(a.k.a. Romantic Drifter) was born in Ankara/ TURKEY. He is 22 years old and He is a student at Ankara University. His department is “Radio, TV and Cinema” and its his 3rd year at the University. He is a Multiplier for EU Youth Program. He is very interested in youth projects. Because of his interest, in his first year at the university he has founded “International Research and Development Club”. He is the president of the club ever since. Everyone admire his passion and his hardworking charachter. Before this project he has gone to ANI for 2 times. He says: “Ani is the center of the civilisations. This place is a gift and we should save her from destruction!” OUR TEAM  Serdar ÇETİNKAYA

  12. Ufuk was born in Edirne/Turkey. He has graduated from Hacettepe University -English Language and Literature. Ufuk has joined us in our first Action 1.1 Project “European Youth on Film Ribbons”. Besides of his good english, Ufuk can communicate with people very easily.He has never been to ANI before but he knows the danger threats ANI and he wants to act as soon as possible! He also thinks that an EU Youth Program Project will be a great opportunity to save our common heritage! He says: “Looking forward to meeting other young hearts that will give their lights to Ani and us ...” Ufuk GIRGIN

  13. Yasemin, (a.k.a Jasmine) wasborn in Ankara/TURKEY. She is a student at Ankara Universityand her department is Journalism. Its her 4th year at theuniversityandmost of ourprofessorsrefer her as one of thegreatestjournalists in thefuture. She is known as one of themostopenmindedmembers of theInternationalResearchandDevelopmentClub. She is alwaysopentolearnnewthings. Shelikestotakephotographs! Shewantstomakeourvoiceheardandprotect Ani Ruins! SheSays: “ Join us andSave Ani fromgettingdestroyed!” Yasemin KOÇAK

  14. Fatma, (a.k.a. Miyuki) wasborn in Istanbul. She is a PR andPublictystudent at Ankara Universityandits her 3th year. Weallknow her interest in Japanese anime series. Shealwayswatchesthemwithenthusiasm . Shecuts her hairbyherself. Sheadmiresphotograps! She is one of theoldestmembers of ourclub. Andshe is also a member of the AD Workshop in Ankara University! Shethinksthat Ani ruinsareone of themostadmirableplaces in theworld… Shesays: “Wakeupandgetready! Wearegoingtosave Ani!” Fatma ÖCAL

  15. Zuhal wasborn in Istanbul/TURKEY. She is one of themostexperiencedmembers in ourclub. She is a Radio, TV andCinemastudent at Ankara Universityandits her 3rd year. She has finished Trakya Universitybeforeshecameto Ankara University. She is alwaysverycalmandjoyful! She is a verybig fan of “Michael Haneke”. She has beento Ani for 1 time andshethinks Ani is a magnificentplace! Shesays “Thereare not manyplaceslikethis. Weshoulddrawattention of thesocietyto Ani toshowthemwhathappenedtothatmagnificentplace!   16. Kübra wasborn in Ankara/TURKEY. She is one of ournewestmembers but shegetusedtoworkingwith us soeasily! She is a Radio TV andCinemastudent at Ankara Universityanditsher 2nd year. She is also an assistantdirector in “TurkishRadioandTelevision (TRT)” channel! With her hardworkingcharachterandendlessenergy, Kübra is making us simply “stronger”.   17. Emrah wasborn in Kars/TURKEY. As you can imagine he is so in lovewith Kars and Ani Ruins. Whenwehaveproposedhimtoworkwith us he saidyeswithoutthinking. He is a student at Ankara Universityand he is studying in 2 departments at a time. One of them is “Radio TV andCinema” andtheotherdepartment is “publicadministration”. He is full of humor. With his positiveenergy he makesevery problem solved! He says“ Maybewearejust a fewyoungpeople. But we can makeourvoiceheardbythepeopleifwe do what is righttosave Ani!” Emrah UZAR

  18. Umut (a.k.a. EinsamMann) wasborn in Istanbul/TURKEY. He has graduatedfrom Ankara University-PR andPublicty. Whenyoufirstseehimyoumaythinkthat he is a verytoughguy but onewordtodescribe his charachter is “emotional”. He likes far eastkitchenand he likestoeatnoodles! He has neverbeento Ani Ruins but he is lookingforwardto it! He says: “Ani is tooprecioustolose. Everygenerationmustsee Ani. Let’sactandsave her!” Umut GENCER

  19. As you all aware, this project must support the "intercultural dialogue". That's why neither of us will have room mates from the same team. We are going to have room-mates from different teams. I hope this is suitable for you! In each room there are 2 beds. So in each room there will be 2 people maximum ABOUT THE ACCOMODATION

  20. Please take thick clothes for you bacuse at night Kars will be a little bit cold. Even it is summer , it can be very cold at nights. So make sure that you have some kind of thick clothes , rainycoat with you. And importantly , take a shoe which is not open. Because , workshops will be in ANI ruins , and sometimes there can be insects. So take sport-shoes with you. ABOUT THE WEATHER conditions..

  21. This is about your cultural night ! Please make sure that every team has traditional foods and tradional customs. Beacuse there will be cultural nıghts and we want you to show your culture to us and to people. So , bring tradional clothes with you. and bring tradional foods to make us jealous of your culture :):):) Be sure that you bring your receipt with you. I mean we can only pay 50 Euro for your preparation for your cultural nights. So, you need to bring receipts of cost that you will buy in your countires. The more than 50 Euro will be paid by you........... :) you have to show receipts for them.. Abouttheculturenigts
