  2. Introduction • The American Civil War occurred from 1860-1865 and was fought between the North and the South. • At one time or another, the Northern armies numbered 2,100,000 soldiers. The Southern armies were considerably smaller. The total dead on both sides was about 500,000. • The chance of surviving a wound in Civil War days was 7 to 1; in the Korean War, 50 to 1.

  3. Task • You are to create a map that details AT LEAST 15 Civil War battles. • Gettysburg, Vicksburg, Chancellorville, Sherman’s March to the Sea, and Richmond must be included • You must include the year the battle took place, the North and South General’s, amount of causalities, who won, and the implications of the battle on the war. • You are to create a poster mapping out the battles
