Coaching Defined • Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. • Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

Coaching Facts • Meeting an unmet need for non- pathologically based personal service that provides for an opportunity others to learn and be successful in the world. • Mainstream press has been mostly favorable. • Articles in : Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, and the Wall Street Journal. • There are now academic journals on coaching and universities (including U of H and UT) have offerings on coaching in graduate programs. • Many small and large companies use coaches. • $1 billion per year spend on executive coaching in US.
