  2. Health and Safety Natural Pigments artist materials do not present any major hazard when used with care and common sense. Glass Muller Rublev Colours Glass Mullers are handmade by glass craftsmen in England using borosilicate laboratory glass, which is 40% harder, more heat resistant and offers better clarity than soda-lime glass. The bulbous handle is specially formed to provide a comfortable grip to ease fatigue when grinding large amounts of pigment. The bottom of the glass muller is ground perfectly flat and sandblasted to provide an excellent grinding surface.
