Rough sawn Tasmanian Oak and Red Gum are popular timber choices due to their inherent hardiness but many other choices are available in our showroom. Our Richmond store once designed one with a wave shaped top (it looked a little like a flat Sydney Opera house) to suit a beach house. It started out as a crazy idea and ended up being an amazing statement piece! The key to understanding occasional furniture is to think about how the piece can be used in different ways depending on the occasion. This might include using a small coffee table oak as a drinks tray or moving a coffee table to create more space in a room.
