  2. Due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, we all must practice social distancing. Which means not going out for some time. In India, we must practice this for 21 days. They say what you are doing for 21 days becomes a habit, and we have this time now. For some, it is a forced lockdown, but you need to change your thinking. Think of it as a holiday to introspect and spend time with family. You have 21 days, what you do with that is your choice. If you waste this time, you’ll regret it. So, utilize this time, by doing things that you always wanted to, but never got the time. Use this time to become a far better version of yourself!! For instance, I’m planning to make the most of these days by inculcating new habits and getting rid of some old ones. 21-day lockdown, Nah! It’s cleanses & Social Distancing. So, let’s look at 14 things to do during a lockdown.

  3. Build a new body with Meditation Build a new body with Meditation and Workout and Workout Pick up a time in the morning or evening for your meditation and yoga routine. For instance, you can practice exercise or Zumba or aerobics at least for an hour or 45 minutes thrice a week. If you can do it every day, it is perfect. Meditation and yoga will not only keep you active but will help your mind calm down. If you are anxious, which most of us are, certainly practising meditation daily before sleeping and after waking up is important.

  4. Make most of your reading Make most of your reading list list How many times it happens that we buy tons of books from a shop, but we don’t read them. It's because as soon as we reach our destination, we get busy with our work, and completely forget about it. However, now that we have some free time on our hands, it is time to start reading those books. Here are my favourite picks: Think and Win like Dhoni, OSHO- Ek Omkar Satnaam, Spiritual and Meditation, Inferno by Dan Brown, and so on. Kids: Moreover, include your kids in this activity. Make them read one chapter a day, and ask them what they learn. Not only will they have something to do, but they will learn new words too, which will certainly improve their vocabulary.

  5. Stay connected with family and friends Stay connected with family and friends Social distancing has changed our lifestyle completely. We cannot meet our friends or family, as we need to beat the coronavirus outbreak. However, that doesn’t mean, we can’t stay connected with our loved ones. There are quite a few people who are living alone, as their families live in another town. As a result, it is more important to stay connected. So, fix a time every day, and talk to your friends and family using video conferencing. Also, kids would love to see their grandparent’s every day virtually. WhatsApp, Google Duo, FaceTime, and Skype are all free apps and can help you communicate your new ideas, lifestyle, and anxieties about the lockdown.

  6. Do something for the animals Do something for the animals One of the side-effects of coronavirus lockdown in India is that people think animals can spread COVID-19. As a result, WHO has issued a press release saying it is not true. So, please don’t abandon your pets. · A lot of stray dogs/cats live on the food that restaurants provided. In other words, they are going hungry. So, leave out food for them, if you can. · Don’t play pranks on animals. · Layout granules and water for birds. It’s the least we can do. It’s time to brush the dust off and obtain twiddling with the family.

Therefore, what better time than a lockdown to think of all the places you always wanted to travel! Make a bucket list of all the things you want to do once the lockdown is over.

  8. Learn Learna new skill using internet a new skill using internet Make stressful times, an opportunity to learn some goodness through the digital world. You can learn new Languages or learn Gardening Tips (it is quite peaceful), Graphic Designing, Video Editing, Film Making, App Development, Web Designing and anything you ever wished to learn. Best tools: Udemy, Byjus, Top Rankers, Nursery Live, Gradeup

  9. Watch Watchmovies or shows movies or shows Have a watch list that you didn’t have time to see yet? Well, now you have a perfect time. There are a lot of streaming platforms, some paid and some free. Use them to watch amazing TV shows and movies. Here are my picks- Shows: Stories by Rabindranath Tagore – Netflix, Little Things – Netflix, Made In heaven- prime, Four more shots please- Prime Movies: Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dear Zindagi, The forgotten army, Kismat (Punjabi), Muklawa (Punjabi), The sky is pink, Ardab Mutiyaran (Punjabi), Hindi Medium Old Movie collection: Amar- Akbar-Anthony, Hera Pheri, Satte pe Satta, Golmaal, Johny Mera Naam, Kaalia, Eklavya, Alibaba Aur 40 chor, are some old movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Kids Collection: Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Richi Rich
