  8. Programming over the Internet • A car, a monorail, and other vehicles are available for Teleoperation at the LEGO SENSORS City. • The live view on http://legocamera.marshall.edu is from the side of the City that can be programmed over the internet by RoboLab. • From the Red Rover side you can operate a Mars Rover near the South Pole as well as the other monorail, a gate, and other vehicles in the City.

  9. The Plan is to show how to data log with the RCX to check out information on distances and light sensor readings. Some of the kids I work with have been in FLL teams. They know how helpful information on times, distances, and light sensor readings would be in the early days of seeing a new FLL field set up. They also know how easy it is to have one program up and just drag the needed icons to a current program.

  10. Example Programs Programming for remote data logging

  11. Instructions for using SENSORS CITY • Write programs in RoboLab • Or use example programs.    • Save the .vi program to your computer. • Log in  http://SENSORSCITY.marshall.edu/CITY/ • After getting into the homepage, follow the headings on the left-hand side of the page. • View Schedule and sign up for a time slot. • Submit a mission. • Watch on live video. • Get your mission results. 12. Write a Data-logging Program

  13. Drag Data-logging Icons • Highlight the wanted icons in the example program • Drag to your program • Wire them in

  14. Data-logging Icons • Click the wrench in the upper left hand corner of the Change Inventor Level drop down window from Projects to get to Compute Tools 5 for data-logging. • http://www.marshall.edu/LEGO/Bville0506/13Ap06Datalogging/13Ap06Datalogging.html
