How • Data Extraction Using Tools and Frameworks • Just copying snapshots from sources inside my private staging area • Information Through Dimensional Modeling • ER model built around business concepts not 3rd Normal Form rules • Delivering Knowledge to End-users • Showing reports no request with quality data (or unique)

Why • The world of data is changing • 80% unstructured, 10x increase 5/y, N/devices person, data markets • New set of answers • Brand social feeling, optimize using data mashups, predict future • Same old needs (but in faster cycles) • Know our business, survive competition, make (better) decisions!

Why + Focused on business knowledge (not technology) + Not only the software package, also influencing people + Every project is a distinct challenge (even in the same business) - Not for everyone, it needs strong commitment (long term) - Technology range ? ] index fill range, big data, color palette [ - No easy ways to learn business concepts (beside clients) So it really means a lot of knowledge to gather (and keep) … but it returns a nice payback €€+ 
