  1. The corrosion issue The next 3 pictures show the internals of a Sierra 100 flow meters that have been used with a mix of dry 99.9% N2 + 0.1% CL. The customer is experienced in handling CL and is 100% sure his gas is dry. Units where purged and no ambient air entered the units. Only the LFE plates and the orifice corroded, no other parts was corroded. Ambient temp and low pressure. Other make MFC’s made from 316SS did not have this problem. Sierra lost a customer of about 70 units per year (80.000 U$/Year) and had to refund the units already sold. Costs on travel and service about 6000 U$)
