  2. What Is Sound? • Sound is a series of waves that travels through the media(air, water, and solids). • Sound is produced when an object moves or vibrates.When this happens , the air or molecules around this object moves or vibrates as well.

  3. How Does Sound Travel? • Sound travels in Mecanical Waves, which are vibrations that move and transport energy from one place to another through a meduim.

  4. How Is It Measured? • Sound waves are described with two measurements: frequency and amplitude. • Frequency is the number of waves passing a given point in a given period of time(usually measured in hertz(hz). • Amplitude is a measure of the amount of energy in a sound wave.

  5. Speed Of Sound • Speed is 343.2 meters per second • The speed of sound depends on the temperture , elasticity, and density.
