  4. Tohoku Univ. GDE Meeting(以下はMarc Rossのスライド、1/31) • Important strategic meeting given forced re-planning • Expect reduced GDE participation due to US and UK budget issues • ~40 as opposed to ~100 in the past • Turn to our advantage by having fewer but well-focused Working Groups (WG) with clearly defined goals • Expect (drive) a more ‘working environment’ than simply presentations of status. • achieve some real work • Will require more PM-driven up-front preparation.

What Required • Re-planning for EDR • Including US and UK difficulties • Re-form the plan • TDP1 by 2010 : Technology feasibility (as AY’s word) • TDP2 by 2012 : Technology credibility • Work-package • Organization to be settled • Subjects to be discussed • SCRF technology • Dumping Ring • MDI/BDS • Cost reduction

  6. 4 Working Groups • WG-1 Cost Reduction Studies • Core team (~10) to review and evaluate RDR design • Re-visit Caltech cost reduction lists • Brainstorming • WG-2 SRF • On-going SRF planning (Akira to plan) • WG-3 BDS / MDI • ATF-2 and general MDI issues • joint sessions with detector people • WG-4 DR • Planning e-cloud mitigation experimental programme • CESR-TA planning • ATF
