  1. Asiatic Lions & Biodiversity Biodiversity-the variations of different species in an area, ecosystem, or planet.

  2. Asiatic lions "Panthera Leo Persica“ is 1 of 7 subspecies of lions on this planet. Are endangered and now only found in a part of Gujarat in India. Eat wild pigs, cattle, antelope and deer. Are much like African lions accept they live in larger prides. They (mostly females) also hunt strategically and in groups , males lay around unless it’s a large animal.

  3. P.S. & I chose this because of ZOMBIELAND & the quote “you ever see a lion limber up before it takes down a gazelle?”.

  4. Why does the environment even need Asiatic lions? They make a habit of killing livestock, so As far as I know it doesn’t because humans do a good enough job regulating the numbers of its prey and lions just eat & lay around a lot, However some people just don’t like being responsible for making a species extinct and killing some overgrown cats that could easily kill you.

  5. Asiatic lions pretty much wouldn’t give anything back accept make the grasslands look less boring.

  6. Conservation efforts Located in Gir national park and people are trying to relocate them to zoos to better ensure their survival.

  7. Why Endangered? like their name suggests they used to be all over asia. Overhunting ,water pollution ,and lack of natural prey have lowered their numbers to about 250-300, making them the most endangered large cat species in the world. Also there’s always the threat of an epidemic that would easily wipe out the small pocket of these remaining cats.
