Our Mission JSFC is committed to providing comprehensive, quality, health services for uninsured low-income patients through dedicated volunteers.
Our Vision Impacting Lives through Patient Care, Improving the Health of our Community
Since 2002 more than 3,500 children have been received physicals at JSFC.
Jeanie Schmidt, RN founded the Herndon Free Clinic to serve the uninsured low income in our community.
Last year, 394 chronically ill adults received medical care at JSFC
JSFC will provide more than 5,000 medical visits to patients in need in the coming year.
Children’s services: • Sick visits • Vision Screenings • Flu Shots • Anemia Testing • Medications • School and Sports Physicals • Developmental Assessments
Adult Services Include: • Visits with a Medical Provider • Medications • Specialty Care • Laboratory Testing • Diagnostic Screenings • Preventative Testing

Our We Can program engages children and their families at risk of obesity teaching lifestyle skills while providing a medical home.
In 2010 JSFC patients received 5,129 prescription medications valued at $431,435
JSFC offers a Shared Medical Visit, providing on-going care, group support and lifestyle management.
JSFC involves patients in their care, empowering them to improve their health.
Applications for service for JSFC have grown by 50% over last year.
Volunteers move the clinic to Connections of Hope January 2010

JSFC patients received over 365 specialty appointments including: • Ophthalmology- 95 • Cardiology- 23 • Mammography - 98 • Radiology - 129 • Podiatry- 12 …and more. Services valued at $239,124
94% of support provided to the clinic goes directly to patient services.
JSFC Golf Tournament raises awareness and funds to support clinic services.

Support for the clinic is provided by our the community from donations, to in-kind donations to volunteer teams.

1,500 individuals are screened by JSFC for hypertension and other health conditions each year in our community.
In 2010 INOVA International Diabetes Center found care provided by JSFC the clinic met or exceeded standards for quality of care.

JSFC offers clinic rotations for medical students through partnerships with: • George Mason University • Georgetown • Reston Hospital • Drexel University • Marymount • Shenandoah University
$1.4 million in laboratory and diagnostic services were provided to JSFC patients last year in partnership with Reston Hospital Center
