  4. Basic Info On China • Temperature during time of visit: 66-73 degrees Fahrenheit • Population: 1/5 of world’s population, 1.3 billion people • Religion: Buddhism is most popular religion in China

  5. Economy • Economy: Largest exporter of goods, GDP 5.88 trillion dollars(1 Chinese dollar= .15 American cents) • 2nd largest economy in world

  6. History • History: Dynasties up until 1914, and today is a Communist/ Republic • Requirements to Visit China: Passport, and a Visa

  8. Day 1 • Flight from Denver, Colorado to Beijing China • Leave on Monday November 10, 2011 • Total cost of flight: $979 • All day flight, checked into hotel next day (17.5 hour flight)

  9. Day 2 • Checked into the Park Plaza hotel in Beijing ($171 per night) • Started first of 5 day tour of Beijing • First place visited was North Lake Park

  10. Day 3 • Went to Village Café for breakfast ($15) • Went to the Western Mountains for second day of tour

  11. Day 4 • Ate breakfast at hotel • Visited the Summer Palace with tour group • Summer escape for Empress Dowager Cixi • Had dinner with tour group at the Noodle Loft($9)

  12. Day 5 • Took time after tour of the Lama Temple to visit the rest of Beijing • Rented car from hotel, and drove to southern Beijing • Walked around safe streets to buy souvenirs

  13. Day 6 • Took fifth and final day of the tour of Beijing to the Temple of Heaven • Went to farewell dinner with tour group at the Chuan Jing Ban Canting($17)

  14. Day 7 • Took train from Beijing to Shanghai ($75) • Traveled around The Bund until night train to Hong Kong came ($63)

  15. Day 8 • Spent most of day traveling around the Victoria Harbor and The Peak • Took a night train back to Beijing ($75)

  16. Day 9 • Packed up things, and took an early flight back to Denver, Colorado on Wednesday November 18, 2011
