Relief Operation for typhoon victims Mt. Pinatubo Tragedy – death for 3 foreigners and 4 local guides / Travel advisory (Aug 6)

New Projects • Human Influenza Simulation Exercise / DOT ComPlan / Task Force (Avian Flu and H1N1) • New organizations: CVBs, Nueva Ecija hotels and resorts, Ass. of Tourism Officers of Bulacan, travel agents ass., Phil Marketing Ass., • MATTA participation (Malaysia) • Training for Aetas in Clark (Livelihood) • WoW Central Luzon in Intramuros • New Tourism Act 2009 (dialogues)

  4. New projects • North Phils Tourism and Travel Fair (annual) • New product – birdwatching in Bataan and Subic • New Tourism markers by NPVB

  5. Regular Activities Seminars Conducted 1. Lifesaving and First Aid Training 2. Costumer Care Seminar 3. Tour-guiding 4. Tourism Awareness Fam Trips: Korean, Hongkong, Singaporean agents, Pampanga Media Ass. Festivals: Hot-air Balloon, Pawikan, Sabutan, Giant Lantern, Horse Festival, Mango Festival etc.

Involvement in humanitarian projects / Livelihood opportunities Increase in visitor arrivals in Region III thru DMIA and accommodation establishments Manpower skills training in LGUs and tourism facilities Increase in accreditation of TOEs / collection More festivals in 2009 More tourism-related organizations (NGOs)

  10. Marketing Plan 2010 We will continue: • Doing the North Phils Expo in Clark • Produce North Phil brochures and maps • Doing tour packages for stakeholders • Making our presence felt at the DMIA • Doing fam trips for media and agents • Identify new products and attractions

  11. Marketing 2009 We will start to: • Create new events (agri-tourism fairs) • Strengthen North Phils alliance • Revise our AVP • Re-design www.visitmyphilippines.com • Focus on promoting other regions in CL • Promote Tourism Act of 2009 and its benefits
