  2. Computed Tomography (CT) • NEW Siemens 16 Slice scanner (5/2010) • Ability to scan sub-millimeter slices • Staffed 24 Hours/day • Perform 400 -500 procedures/month • JCAHO Accredited

  3. Computed Tomography (CT) Routine Procedures: • Head • Neck • Chest • Abdomen • Pelvis • Extremities • Spine • QCT Bone Density • Most can be performed with or without contrast

  4. Computed Tomography (CT) Advanced Procedures: • CTA Head • CTA Neck (Carotid Arteries) • CTA Chest (Pulmonary Arteries) • CTA Abdomen (Aorta) • CTA Pelvis (Renal Arteries) • CTA Extremities CTA exams are designed to image blood vessels.

  5. Ultrasound • Staffed 5 days/week • On-call nights and weekends • Perform ~ 200 procedures/month

  6. Ultrasound Procedures: • Echocardiograms Thyroid • Arterial Dopplers Renal • Venous Dopplers Renal Artery • Carotid Dopplers Aorta • Breast Abdomen • Obstetrical Pelvis

  7. Mammography • ACR (American College of Radiology Accredited) • Licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health • Perform ~ 150 – 200 exams/month • Staffed 5 days/week

  8. Mammography Procedures: • Screening Mammograms ($50 Special in October) • Diagnostic Mammograms • Spot Compression Mammograms

  9. Diagnostic Radiography (X-ray) • Use computed radiography (CR) / Filmless • 2 exam rooms + mobile x-ray machine • Perform ~ 800 exams/month • Staffed 24 hours/day

  10. Diagnostic Radiography (X-ray) Procedures: • ALL Routine X-rays • Upper GIs • Barium Swallows • Barium Enemas • Small Intestine Exams • Cystograms • Bone Surveys • IVPs

  11. Nuclear Medicine • Accredited by JCAHO • Licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health • Staffed 5 days/week • Perform ~ 100 exams/month

  12. Nuclear Medicine Procedures: • Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests • Hepatobiliary Scans (HIDA) • Bone Scans • Thyroid Scans • Parathyroid Scans • Gastric Emptying Scans
