  3. Every day in the United States, more than two children are raped or molested per every one thousand children by someone that they trusted

  4. Methods to protect and prevent children from being molested or raped: • Method One: • Stay informed • Be aware of the surroundings at all times: • 1) Watch the news • 2)Contact the local authorities if you have concerns or questions

  5. Method Two For Parents: • Teach children about their “private zones.” • Be approachable about the subject, • do not push kids away when they ask questions • Make sure older teenagers know the rules are crystal • clear and explain about the age of consent for your state

  6. Method Three: Monitor children on the internet Learn who their “friends” are on: My Space Face book Twitter Blogging Chat rooms

  7. Fourth Method: • Getting the schools, churches, and community involved • Start programs that can teach children about perps • Teach what a sexual touch is and why it is not right. Most schools that have these • sort of programs take into account the children's age and cultural background.
