Computational Thinking: To become fluent in information technology, one gains proficiency in computer applications, understands the principles of technology, builds reasoning and problem-solving skills, and develops the ability to program web pages using HTML/XHTML. Furthermore, one will utilize computational thinking, engage in analysis of data sets, and present the data in a logical fashion. • Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Fluency with Information Technology Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages • Using Excel as a spreadsheet, we can logically organize our data and make estimations based on current data. This can be used to handle budgets, to create a time chart of different time zones, and to manage stocks. Excel has the ability to present the data in a graphical manner, such as pie charts and bar graphs, which allows for easier visualizations of comparisons and trends. • Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Desktop Publishing with MS Word We use HTML to create web pages containing our academic portfolio. This includes our educational background, our current coursework, and our main objective. Using Microsoft Word, we wrote our and published our professional plans, which includes background information on our major, coursework completed at UCSD, and related experience to our profession of interest.
